Electrical Engineer II

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer II position at Milwaukee Tool involves managing multiple projects in the development of new and existing products within the Lighting and Lifestyles brand team. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
• 3+ years of experience in related design field
• Knowledge of power electronics designs, analog circuitry, and embedded systems
• Ability to write firmware for embedded systems
• Experience with USB power systems, battery charging systems, lighting standards, and photometric testing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to potentially travel 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional team to identify features, functions, and requirements for conceptual electronics systems
• Create prototypes and concept models of electronics systems
• Keep abreast of new technologies relevant to the industry
• Draw conclusions from experiments based on data analysis
• Establish relationships with engineers worldwide
• Provide hands-on assistance with product development
• Design, build, and test prototype electronic systems
• Collaborate on defining features and requirements of concept designs
• Identify tradeoffs and solutions to problems in a high urgency environment
