Principal Power Electronics Engineer

Job Description

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to lead the development of innovative power delivery solutions using novel techniques within the electrical engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in power electronics design including switch mode power supply topologies, inverters, and semiconductor component selection.
• Firm understanding of EMI/EMC concepts.
• Hands-on approach with proven track record of realizing designs into production.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical engineers in designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting power electronics.
• Simulate, design, and validate various AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC topologies.
• Write test requests, create design documents, interact with suppliers, and mentor the team in engineering best practices.
• Champion technology investigations, establish competitive awareness, and communicate effectively across the organization.
• Drive urgency in project schedules, ensure resource availability, and evaluate emerging technology market space.
