FPGA Design Engineer

Job Description

KLA is seeking a talented and motivated senior engineer to fill a new position within the Electrical Engineering group, responsible for providing EE support in architecting Auto-Focus subsystem and EE portion of Auto-Focus subsystem.

Requirements

• Hands on experience with complex FPGA firmware designs
• Proficiency in FPGA simulation tools such as VCS, Modelsim or equivalent
• Solid knowledge of various protocols to interface different peripherals: PCIe, Aurora, DDR4, 10G, SPI, I2C, etc.

Responsibilities

• Designing test benches for simulation, timing analysis/closure, FPGA functionality verification
• Designing, implementing, and debugging of FPGAs and firmware for embedded sensing and communications systems
• Collaborating with hardware and embedded software engineers to design FPGA Firmware for high-performance mixed-signal systems
• Defining FPGA Firmware requirement specifications and developing design projects from concept design to production release
• Adhering to project timelines and deliverables
• Writing technical documentation that meets the defined quality standards as required
