Optical Engineer (E)

Job Description

The Optical Engineer position at KLA involves troubleshooting and refining optics modules and manufacturing processes for complex deep-UV imaging systems. The role requires a solid understanding of Optics theory and experience with design software.

Requirements

• PhD in Optical Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics
• Solid understanding of Optics theory
• Experience with design software (CodeV, Zemax)
• Practical experience with statistical analysis
• High degree of initiative and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and refine optics modules and manufacturing processes
• Develop and maintain procedures, test fixtures, specifications
• Train manufacturing, service, suppliers, and other engineers on optics build, alignment, and test processes
• Work on complex assignments independently
