Mechatronics Engineer

Job Description

KLA is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer to join their team in developing metrology equipment for the semiconductor industry.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in related fields of robotics, control systems, electrical, or mechanical engineering
• 1+ years of experience, preferably in semiconductor product development
• Strong experience with experimental design and hardware-in-the-loop experimentation
• Basic/Intermediate knowledge of precision machine design
• Good understanding of statistics, signal processing, and its application to characterize tool hardware
• Knowledge of numerical optimization and image processing a plus

Responsibilities

• Work independently on data collection, analysis, calibration, and writing scripts using Python or Matlab
• Perform hands-on work with hardware and gather necessary data in the lab or cleanroom
• Define plans for system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
• Write detailed requirements, document results, and generate detailed reports
• Collaborate closely with the customer support organization
• Travel to customer sites up to 20%
