Staff Software Systems Engineer, Autonomy

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the development and delivery of Autonomy Features for Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Robotics or related field
• 7+ years (Bachelor’s)/5+ years (Master’s) of professional experience in systems engineering or software development for autonomous systems
• Understanding of autonomous driving sensors, automotive standards, regulations, and test protocols
• Moderate programming skills (Preferred: C/C++, Python)

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver best-in-class Autonomy Features powered by the Rivian Autonomy Stack
• Architect solutions to meet features’ functional and performance requirements
• Collaborate within Autonomy development teams for feature development, integration, and testing
• Define metrics for feature evaluation and collaborate with other teams for infrastructure deployment
• Lead process improvements, coordinate with program teams, and participate in architecture and design reviews
