Staff Software Engineer, Perception, Autonomy

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a key member for the Perception team to develop and deploy advanced machine learning algorithms for safety critical self-driving features.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years related industry or research experience
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in C++ and Python
• Broad understanding of modern Perception systems and architectures
• Experience in software for real-time safety-critical systems, robotics, perception applications, machine learning model training, infrastructure, and tools, writing performant software, parallel programming, cloud computing, and large-scale data processing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
• Good team player with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize software components related to Machine Learning training
• Architect, configure, and run ML configuration systems
• Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate software components into model development process
