Senior Staff Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Future Programs team. The role involves collaborating with the Design Studio to develop innovative solutions for Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of eight years of related experience
• Proven success working through a full product lifecycle from initial design through to launch
• Experience troubleshooting field failures and implementing production improvements
• Advanced 3D CAD modeling skills using Catia, Solidworks, or Creo

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Design Studio to find technical solutions and provide input on product design improvements
• Translate user research into design solutions addressing customer needs
• Develop structural frame parts, suspension components, and sealed housings
• Manage program timing, DFMEA, and DVP action items
• Work closely with manufacturing to ensure stable production
