Sr. Software Engineer, Calibration & Pose, Autonomy

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to work on mapping, localization, and calibration solutions for their Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field
• 3+ years of robotics, AV (Autonomous Vehicle), or other real-time, safety-critical experience
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience
• Experience with SLAM/Factor Graphs, Sensor calibration, Sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, Autonomous Vehicles/ADAS

Responsibilities

• Algorithm development for precise vehicle pose and localization
• Processing and fusing data from multiple sensors
• Implementing algorithms in C++ and analyzing performance using Python
• Integrating algorithms into autonomous vehicle architecture
