Wireless RF PHY FW Engineer

Job Description

Join Apple's Wireless Connectivity Silicon team as an Embedded FW Engineer responsible for designing and implementing embedded firmware for wireless SoC bring up and connectivity enablement.

Requirements

• BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong background in embedded FW development using C and assembly languages
• Good understanding of embedded wireless communication systems, Radio and PHY fundamentals
• Experience with low-level hardware interfaces, register and interrupt programming
• Fluency in using lab equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers
• Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Tcl

Responsibilities

• Craft and implement embedded firmware for wireless SoC bring up and connectivity enablement
• Collaborate with product SW and manufacturing teams to provide system-level API and firmware functionality
• Develop SoC test and calibration capabilities for wafer, module, and system factories
• Architect, define, and implement innovative algorithms, calibrations, and protocols
• Support pre-silicon validation efforts and post-silicon bringup, validation, and performance characterization
