Wireless Systems Algorithm Design Engineer

Join Apple's wireless silicon development team to work on innovative wireless SoC products, designing algorithms, architectures, and protocols to enhance performance and reliability.

Requirements

• BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Extensive experience in designing physical layer core algorithms for wireless communication systems
• Deep understanding of communication theory, information theory, and signal processing algorithms
• Proficiency in C/C++, Matlab for algorithm development, and modeling of physical layer
• Knowledge of existing wireless protocols like 5G, LTE, 802.11 standards, Bluetooth
• Experience with algorithm development for hardware and firmware friendly designs

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate innovative wireless communication systems for emerging applications
• Implement system models and investigate algorithms for performance enhancements
• Design methods to alleviate RF/circuit impairments and optimize system performance
• Define control procedures for physical layer hardware modules in congested radio environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up and optimize real silicon in the lab
