Software Engineer: DevOps/Automation Engineer

Job Description

Join a small team of highly focused engineers at Apple to play a key role in the success of the silicon validation team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a CI/CD or SRE role
• Strong object-oriented development skills in Python and Java (or another JVM-based language)
• Experience with a configuration management system (Salt/Ansible/Puppet/Chef, Salt is a big plus)
• Experience deploying and operating Jenkins at scale
• Experience with artifact lifecycle management
• Experience working with log aggregation tools (Splunk, ELK stack, etc)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (such as Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus, etc)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and isolating issues to determine root causes through investigative analysis
• Working with various groups within the department to identify and solve problems
• Valuing innovative solutions over meeting requirements
• Being an independent problem-solver who is self-motivated to achieve group objectives
