Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in mechanical design in consumer electronics
• Passion for product design and problem-solving
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Experience with technical graphical communication and tolerance analysis techniques
• Experience with component modules and interconnects
• Experience in plastic and metal part design
• Experience in handheld/portable device design
• Siemens NX fluency desirable
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers is a plus
• Mandarin language skills are a benefit
• Ability to travel internationally (20%+)

Responsibilities

• Lead iPhone integration and architecture efforts
• Demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and adapt to new technical areas
• Promote innovation and new technology to enhance hardware performance and user experience
• Integrate wireless antenna and electrical subsystems into mechanical enclosures
• Design cosmetic enclosures with liquid and dust ingress protection
