Touch Sensing FEA Engineer

Job Description

The FEA Engineer will conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis of sensing technology, generating finite element models, performing various analyses, and driving failure analysis and design of experiments.

Requirements

• BS degree
• Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
• Experience in advanced finite element analysis (FEA)
• Proficiency in Abaqus, ANSYS, COMSOL, or other FEA tools
• Experience with sensor technologies is a plus
• Knowledge/experience in material testing and modeling of complex materials
• Proficiency in Matlab and Python scripting
• Experience in data and statistical analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Generate finite element models/analytical models
• Perform static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical analysis
• Own and drive material characterization and testing
• Build innovative methods for analyzing behavior of difficult-to-observe phenomena
• Coordinate with other analysts to integrate module models into larger system assemblies
• Communicate and report analysis results to team and management
• Drive failure analysis, root cause efforts, and design of experiments
• Brainstorm and propose solutions based on analysis data
