Sr. Software Engineer, Apple Services Engineering

Job Description

The Apple Services Engineering team is seeking Software Engineers to work on a low latency distributed storage block storage system that supports various workloads running on Apple's cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• 7 years of professional software development experience
• Experience in building storage systems
• 7+ years of coding in Rust, C++, Java, or C#
• Proficient with UNIX/Linux
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience

Responsibilities

• Work on storage device-optimized low-level storage, large-scale distributed systems, and high-performance IO stacks
• Collaborate with the team to shape product features and architecture
• Operate at mission-critical levels of availability and durability
• Unlock optimization opportunities at every layer of the stack
