AIML - Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Retrieval and Ranking Quality (SII)

Job Description

Apple is seeking a Staff Machine Learning engineer to lead innovative projects in retrieval and ranking quality using machine learning techniques.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning, NLP, and Large Language Models
• 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, C/C++
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
• In-depth knowledge in Information Retrieval, Ranking, or Recommendation Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead research, design, and implementation of algorithms to enhance retrieval and ranking systems
• Use advanced NLP and deep learning techniques to match complex queries with relevant content
• Analyze and improve search and assistant stack performance
• Develop technical vision and propose roadmap for team objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements
