Distributed Build Systems Engineer - Software Assembly & Packaging

Job Description

The Image Assembly team at Apple is looking for experienced engineers to work on extending large-scale novel build and distributed systems to meet the needs of Apple's operating system engineers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience, a Graduate degree, or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong software architecture and coding abilities
• Interest in build systems, cloud services, and other high-performance system software
• Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Integrating business logic of software assembly and packaging into Apple’s core build technologies
• Analyzing problem requirements, existing solutions, and available systems to make high-level architectural decisions
• Implementing solutions, developing testing mechanisms, and measuring impact in a production environment
• Collaborating with teammates through programming in Swift, git pull requests, and in-person conversations
• Providing technical guidance, software architectural review, and mentorship
