Sensing Hardware Validation Engineer

Job Description

The Sensing HW team at Apple is seeking a candidate to develop, characterize, and validate sensor systems for various Apple platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
• Experience in characterization and validation of hardware platforms and devices
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automating test procedures

Responsibilities

• Characterizing, integrating, and validating capacitive touch sensors for new product applications
• Collaborating cross-functionally with product design, test, firmware, system engineering, and product operations teams
• Defining key performance indicators for sensor module and system-level testing
• Leading infrastructure and automation efforts for hardware testing
• Conducting failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
