CPU Performance Engineer

Requirements

• Minimum BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Academic or industry experience in CPU performance architecture, micro-architecture design, performance analysis
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Perl and Python
• Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads
• Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software and system teams to identify and profile critical CPU workloads
• Develop representative benchmarks for CPU workloads
• Identify hardware and software performance bottlenecks
• Work closely with Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and RTL teams
• Analyze workloads on simulators and prototype devices
• Develop and automate performance analysis infrastructure
