Software Development Engineer, AWS Edge Connectivity

Job Description

This role involves building network pathways for AWS Edge Connectivity service to connect US Intelligence and Department of Defense customers to Amazon's Dedicated Cloud partitions with a focus on security protocols and encryption.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Experience with network Layer2/3 encryption (HAIPE/Ethernet Data Encryption(EDE))
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and implement cloud-based services for managing encrypted network connections
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant, low-cost distributed systems
• Influence product direction through data-backed technical insights
• Mentor teammates to grow their technical and operational skills
• Participate in on-call rotation to maintain service availability target
