Propulsion System Development Engineer, Electrical Propulsion

Job Description

Amazon Prime Air Electric Propulsion team is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer with a strong background in hardware engineering, prototype testing, and electric powertrain testing.

Requirements

• BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and building automated test systems, hardware development, and software/hardware systems integration
• Demonstrated expertise in test automation software development, test system troubleshooting, and debugging

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute full test lifecycle from test system design and build to test execution and data review
• Design and build automated test systems, including instrumentation and software integration
• Develop test plans, specifications, and acceptance criteria for electronic & mechanical components and integrated systems
• Perform PCBA testing, debugging, and failure analysis
• Manage test system configuration control and change processes
• Lead verification, validation, and environmental testing
• Support component and system-level troubleshooting
