Mechanical Engineer , Kuiper Mechanical - Spacecraft Mechanisms

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit, bringing fast and affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

Requirements

• 3+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Experience with prototyping and implementation
• 2+ years experience developing space rated Moving Mechanical Assemblies

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze requirements, conceive and develop trade studies on mechanism design options
• Create and iterate detailed CAD models of design options
• Analyze all load conditions for compliance
• Develop test plans with statistical analysis for reliability assessments
• Produce complete design packages
