Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Identify the right technologies to delight customers by working backwards from customer needs
• Architect and build business critical, highly available software systems in a large distributed computing environment
• Prototype and test concepts or features
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to bring innovative products and services to market
• Define and drive software best practices including coding standards, code reviews, agile development, and testing
• Coach and mentor engineers on the team to foster a supportive culture of collaboration and delivery to high standards of scalability and performance
