Senior Software Development Engineer, Kuiper Network Services

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of low earth orbit satellites to provide broadband internet connectivity to un-served and under-served communities worldwide. This Sr SDE role involves building network infrastructure for satellite to ground based connectivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple cross functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate solution pipelines
• Collaborate and lead initiatives to build networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Lead teams, develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring systems
• Mentor junior and new team members
• Engineer solutions for Internet service providers
