Job Description

Amazon Robotics (AR) Mechanical Hardware Development Engineer position involves designing and delivering complex integrated robotic hardware solutions to transform customer experiences.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering or similar
• 4+ years of experience in Robotics or Mechatronic Systems with full product lifecycle
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and concepts in product design
• Experience evaluating design, performance, and tradeoffs for hardware systems
• CAD experience and understanding of part and assembly design
• Experience in DFM/DFA and fabrication with various materials

Responsibilities

• Designing robotic work cell product designs from concept to production
• Adapting holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems
• Integrating industrial automation and motion control systems into functional work cells
• Creating design documentation and validation plans
• Specifying industrial automation components and working with cross-functional teams
