Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Power Electronics Engineer at Milwaukee Tool will lead and collaborate on the design and development of innovative power delivery solutions using novel semiconductor switches.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in power electronics design
• Firm understanding of EMI/EMC concepts
• Hands-on approach with proven track record in realizing designs into production
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in analog circuit design
• Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international)

Responsibilities

• Lead design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot power electronics hardware and firmware for mid to high complexity projects
• Simulate, design, and validate various AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC topologies
• Write test requests to the Milwaukee Test Laboratory
• Interact with suppliers to develop part/product specifications
• Drive project schedules and accountability for key project metrics
• Mentor, guide, and coach junior Engineers
