Hardware Failure Analysis Engineer, Amazon Robotics Hardware Test

Job Description

Amazon Robotics is seeking a self-driven individual to join the Failure Analysis Team in Westborough MA, working on non-destructive and destructive failure analysis on AR products and conducting material characterization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with materials sample preparation and understanding of various materials characterization techniques
• Experience in material characterization of metal, polymer, composites, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lab setting analyzing failures

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and failure characterizations using advanced analytical tools
• Work with various teams to identify root causes and drive resolution for failures
• Maintain RCA repository database, write FA reports, and deliver presentations
• Collaborate with test engineering and design team for planning and execution
• Develop FA SOPs, troubleshoot procedures, and participate in process improvement initiatives
• Help manage and train FA Engineers and Technicians, and maintain lab organization
