Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

Job Description

Design high quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems using ground-breaking automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
• 2+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related
• Experience in engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal and external teams to design solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems
• Own multiple projects from concept realization through design approval
• Act as the primary technical contact for suppliers
• Ensure successful installation, commissioning, and launch of designed systems
• Work on a variety of projects including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits
