FOC Technical Specialist, Facilities Operations Center

Job Description

The AWS Data Center Community (DCC) organization at Amazon is seeking a skilled individual to join the Facility Operation Center (FOC) team as a Technical Specialist. This role involves leading the team in monitoring life-safety systems, infrastructure equipment alarms, and driving solutions for customer impacting events.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience directly related to data center or mission critical facility design and operations.
• 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• 3+ year of experience performing complex data analysis to justify technical decisions, and present the justification to management in a high level review.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a backup for the Lead FOC Engineer and providing support during Critical Site (CSE) and Large Scale (LSE) events.
• Deep diving into post-event data and reviewing After Action Reports (AAR).
• Driving process improvement of FOC operations, ensuring runbook compliance, and managing technical training.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, developing certification mechanisms, and facilitating workshops and training programs.
