Job Description

Summer internship opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician - Intern at Cummins Tech Center in Columbus, IN.

Requirements

• Must be a student currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program
• Strong interest in pursuing a career with Cummins upon graduation
• Prior mechanical experience or aptitude is highly valued and a plus
• Must be a current student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Work daily in a test cell environment using hands-on tools, skills & techniques to perform tests on engines
• Learn basics of test cell operation and controls (mechanical & software)
• Participate in Team meetings, events, and other cross-functional efforts
• Follow HSE Processes and Procedures to ensure safety of themselves and others
• Manage small portions of well-defined projects
• Identify, track, and work with others to resolve issues
• Draw on other experiences to enhance the success of the project
