Quantum Computing Software Intern - Summer 2025

Job Description

The NVIDIA Math Libraries team is seeking interns in the area of quantum computing software development to help design, develop, and optimize software for quantum computing workflows.

Requirements

• Pursuing a M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, or related field
• Experience with quantum algorithms, programming systems, or hybrid classical/quantum computations
• Strong software development skills with C++ and Python
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms and numerical methods, particularly linear algebra
• Good teamwork, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with software engineering activities around proof-of-concept development of algorithms
• Collaborate with team members and specialists to understand software use cases and requirements
• Help productize new functionality through design, development, debugging, testing, and documentation
• Analyze the performance of GPU or CPU implementations and find opportunities for improvements
• Present results and findings throughout the internship
