Principal Software Engineer

Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled Principal Staff Software Engineer to lead initiatives in transforming IT Compute platform architecture and driving efficiency in infrastructure performance both on-prem and in the cloud.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 15+ years of proven experience in compute platform engineering with a focus on automation
• In-depth knowledge of hardware technologies, including SR-IOV, DPU, and GPU
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and track key performance metrics
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go and/or Python
• Experience with large scale virtualized environments and cloud infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to transform IT Compute platform architecture across On-Prem & Cloud
• Define and implement metrics to measure platform efficiency
• Collect and review system data for capacity planning
• Develop and maintain tools for data collection, analysis, and visualization
• Collaborate with NVIDIA leadership to develop IT products and services
