Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - Hardware

Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Signal & Power Integrity Engineer to work on crafting creative Signal Integrity solutions to complex system design problems utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of industry experience
• Strong technical background in applied electromagnetics, transmission line theory, and signal processing
• Experience in SI work on various signaling standards like PCI express, USB, SATA, HDMI, and others
• Hands-on use of 3-D modeling tools like ANSYS HFSS/Q3D and 2.5-D with ANSYS SIWAVE
• Familiarity with system-level timing or loss budget and tools like VNA, TDR, DSO, ParBERT, ADS, Matlab, and more

Responsibilities

• Crafting creative Signal Integrity solutions to complex system design problems
• Modeling and optimizing vias, connectors, sockets, breakouts, and various system components in 3D EM tools
• Conducting system-level signal integrity simulations of high-speed interfaces like NVlink 200Gbps+, USB-4, PCIe5, GDDR6, and more
• Improving SI models using data from lab measurements and/or modeling tool updates
• Creating substrate and board layout SI guidelines, review, and post-layout SI extractions
• Automating simulations, gathering data, and analyzing using tools like JMP, MATLAB, etc.
• Working in a cross-functional role to optimize package, PCB, ASIC, and mixed signal circuit
