Principal Software Engineer, RTL Optimization Tools

Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking an innovative CAD Software Engineer with expertise in strategies and algorithms for large scale RTL quality, timing, and power optimization.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• 12+ years of relevant experience in CAD software and VLSI hardware design
• Demonstrated ability in software development with C++
• Fluency in RTL design, including Verilog and SystemVerilog code
• Familiarity with related EDA techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Invent new methods for RTL traversal, analysis, and manipulation
• Devise strategies for analyzing RTL changes impact on data path latency, power, and DFT
• Explore high-performance algorithms for logic synthesis and datapath implementation
• Utilize machine learning techniques for suggesting RTL modifications
• Drive the roadmap for increasing hardware design productivity
