Sr. Staff Electrical FA Engineer

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Staff Electrical FA Engineer to play a key role in conducting failure analysis investigations for their Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering
• 8/6+ years relevant EE FA industrial experience
• Strong academic background in electronic components testing
• Extensive experience with Low Voltage PCBA Failure Analysis
• Thorough understanding of electrical testing methods and equipment
• Experience with high voltage electrical failures
• Experience preparing formal reports and presenting data to engineering and leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discipline of EE FA and be the FAME team SME in PCB Failure Analysis
• Facilitate and lead failure analysis activities for new product development and fielded systems
• Drive corrective actions, collaborate with engineering teams, and maintain dialogue on FA capabilities
• Mentor and train junior level electrical engineers
• Create strong partnerships with design, manufacturing, and quality teams
• Prepare failure analysis reports and present findings to engineering and leadership levels
• Advise on best paths forward to address findings with cross-functional teams
• Provide independent insight into supplier FA investigations and lead executive reviews
