Job Description

Rivian is seeking a skilled Sr. Software Engineer, Data to join their Autonomy organization. The role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights using tools like Hex, Streamlit, SQL, AWS, and Databricks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role with a track record of working with big data sets and building analytical data pipelines.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Hex and Streamlit, advanced SQL skills, and experience with Databricks.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation.
• Experience with AWS cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills to present technical concepts and data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated self-motivation, organizational skills, and commitment to best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop compelling and interactive data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Hex, and Streamlit.
• Utilize advanced SQL skills to efficiently query, manipulate, and manage data.
• Leverage AWS cloud services to build, maintain, and optimize data analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with the team to integrate data analytics processes within the Databricks environment.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design, build, enhance, and manage data pipelines to automate data transformation.
• Follow industry best standards and practices for data engineering.
• Develop narratives around data insights to effectively communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results.
