Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Cockpit and Trim

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Cockpit and Trim Engineering team to lead the design and development of interior instrument panel components for their Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering degree
• Minimum of 5 years experience in instrument panel development
• Capability in Catia V6
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles
• Eagerness to learn and excellent communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP and other automotive evaluation and regulatory achievement

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of interior instrument panel components for Rivian vehicles
• Collaborate closely with studio designers
• Manage cross-functional alignment and collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Develop engineering bill of materials and perform change management using Enovia
• Lead DFMEAs and coordinate with cross-functional partners
• Execute Product Validation plans and root cause analysis for responsible parts
• Exhibit 'Rivian Compass' values in all activities
