Sr. Software Validation and HIL Engineer, Power Electronics Functional Safety

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a candidate to lead the design, development, and maintenance of Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) development platforms with a focus on functional safety (FuSa).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience with HIL specification, design, and implementation
• 3+ years of experience with test case design, automation, and execution
• Deep knowledge of HIL and real-time testing software tools
• Experience with functional safety standards and safety analysis techniques
• Experience with software safety mechanisms, testing, and validation
• Practical experience programming in Python and C

Responsibilities

• Design and build HIL environments
• Develop comprehensive test cases
• Execute HIL tests, analyze data, and provide reports
• Collaborate on software validation and FuSa validation
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging
• Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain documentation
