Sr Electrical Engineer - Technical Lead

Job Description

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Technical Lead with expertise in embedded and power electronics design to join their innovative electrical engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Preferred)
• 7+ years of highly successful embedded systems experience
• Understanding of digital circuits and the interaction between firmware and electronics
• Exceptional root cause analysis and debugging skills
• Practical knowledge in analog/digital system tradeoffs and design
• Strong leadership experience
• Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international)

Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical leadership related to embedded and power electronics design
• Roadmap adoption of critical technologies into products
• Directly contribute to projects critical to the organization’s success
• Manage business unit specific hardware and firmware features
• Rapidly assist project teams experiencing issues
• Coordinate with other technical leads on critical technical issues
• Review and provide feedback on formal and informal hardware and firmware design reviews
• Lead company-wide process improvement initiatives
• Mentor and provide technical training for junior engineers
• Enforce consistent design best practices across the organization
• Act as a technical representative for the Business Unit
