Sr Cell Engineer

Job Description

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Sr. Engineer of Cell Engineering to lead the development of cells at suppliers and testing to support the needs of a global Li-Ion battery business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, or similar fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrochemical systems environment
• Experiences in Li-ion electrodes process and cell assembly are preferred
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Data analysis skills with tools such as Minitab, Python, MATLAB are preferred
• Knowledge of materials used in Lithium-ion cell industry and materials characterization techniques
• Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and International)

Responsibilities

• Drive best-in-class product performance within cell supply base
• Support negotiations and relationship management with cell suppliers
• Support production teams through process and equipment related troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize battery cell designs and processes
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other documentations
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies related to Li-ion battery cell development
