Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

KLA's LS-SWIFT Division is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Optomechanical Design team. The engineer will be responsible for developing mechanical subassemblies and optimizing challenging mechanisms and designs.

Requirements

• Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience using FEA - structural, thermal, and CFD
• Hands-on lab tests and data analysis
• Experience with CAD, preferably Pro Engineer
• Experience using FEA package, preferably ANSYS
• Experience in precision mechanics, optomechanical systems, optics, PCB packaging, machine tools, motion controls, and measurement instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Developing mechanical subassemblies
• Feasibility studies, analysis, and FEA modeling
• Prototype assembly and testing
• System integration and handoff to manufacturing
• Analytical and experimental validation and optimization of designs
