Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

The Systems Software Engineer position at KLA involves developing software for inspection products used in semiconductor manufacturing.

Requirements

• Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
• Strong software engineering skills
• Experience in Instrument Control SW, Image Processing, Image Computing
• Experience in building highly scalable software systems
• Deep conceptual understanding of multi-threaded, multi-process, and distributed software systems
• Previous technical lead experience
• Object Oriented Design & Programming in Java, C# or C++
• Experience with Distributed systems, Scripting languages like Python, Data Structures, algorithms, and Interface protocols for cross-language software
• Asynchronous programming in Java, C++ or C+

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and roll out software solutions for inspection machines
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to understand system/marketing requirements and map them to software requirements and design
• Develop deep understanding of the system and provide software solutions for critical customer gaps or issues
• Evaluate concepts and designs for next-generation systems by conducting trade-off studies and risk mitigation
• Collaborate in architectural and technology decisions, drive adoption of best industry practices
• Mentor junior team members in coding and cross-functional interactions
