Electrical Design Engineer, DSP

Job Description

KLA is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Central Engineering team in Milpitas. The role involves collaborating with software and mechanical teams for sub-system design, writing technical documentation, and supporting product transitions into manufacturing.

Requirements

• Strong control theory background
• 5+ years of FW development experience with C/C++ in a real-time operating system environment
• Experience in servo loop tuning with nanoscale motion of stage
• Experience in the design, development, and integration of complex electrical components and subsystems
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• PhD degree; master's degree with at least three years' experience; bachelor's degree with at least five years' experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with SW and Mechanical teams for sub-system design
• Write technical documentation meeting quality standards
• Support product transition into manufacturing
• Advanced motion control of multi axis motion system and optomechanical Digital signal processor real-time architecture design
• Servo loop design and tuning for nanometer motion system
• Write SW and Python or MATLAB scripts to accelerate tuning process
• Drive the development, test and integration of complex electrical components and subsystems
