Sr. HPC Product Development Engineer (Linux/Solutions Architect)

Job Description

Join KLA's Measurement, Analytics and Control group (MACH) as an HPC Hardware Computer Product Engineer to design and implement HPC server platforms for semiconductor fabs.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building computer systems running Linux and VMware
• Solid understanding of virtualization concepts
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware
• Experience deploying TCP/IP networking
• System administrator level advanced programming skills using scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement HPC server platforms for high-volume semiconductor fabs
• Select, qualify, and integrate components into the final design
• Develop & implement test plans for quality assessment of components
• Work closely with software applications hosted on the server platform
• Perform SW-HW co-design while minimizing costs
• Perform QA testing of computer hardware and validate target software applications
• Evaluate existing server designs and recommend essential changes for continuous improvement
• Work with third-party HW & SW suppliers and system integrators
• Own beta installations and support customer field escalations
