Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

Job Description

Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) to work in sophisticated data centers and help maintain critical infrastructure systems.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 2+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment
• Technical writing to support change management program
• Monitor daily work requests and manage resolution
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Work schedule changes depending on site needs
• Support more than one location/site
• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment
• Collaborate with team to ensure continual access to innovation
