Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for a highly technical individual to solve challenging problems in the industry, particularly focused on data center planning, delivery, and operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• 3 years of experience in PLC development leveraging IEC-61131 Structured Text and Ladder Logic

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert in low voltage switchgear breaker control and generator automation
• Develop, program, and iterate sequence of operations and HMI graphics leveraging PLC/PAC/IPC platforms
• Contribute and maintain a library of standard tested automation logic function blocks
• Expert in IEC61131-3 programming language standards
• Develop automation sequences, mechanical plant strategies, and complex environmental and electrical concepts
• Create, maintain, and disseminate specification documents for global projects
• Vendor selection, bid review, RFI support, and coordination
• Interaction with AWS cloud services and other applications for data analysis
• Travel globally when needed to manage and support project initiatives
• Anticipate roadblocks and risks while providing escalation management
