Senior Robotics Software Engineer - Test and Validation, Amazon Robotics

Job Description

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Test and Validation Software Engineer to ensure the robustness and reliability of motion planning and control algorithms in complex, ever-changing environments globally.

Requirements

• 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 4+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience
• 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement validation plans for new robot behaviors and control algorithms
• Design and oversee experiments in simulated and real-world environments
• Create and maintain infrastructure for testing data generation
• Collect, process, and analyze experimental data to evaluate system performance
• Document and present experimental designs, methodologies, and results
• Advocate for best practices in robotic testing and validation
