Sr. Software Development Engineer - BMC, AWS Hardware Engineering Services

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for a seasoned Senior Software Development engineer to build and own server related firmware.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Experience developing embedded systems
• Experience with software development for server platforms
• Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Shell, or other similar scripting languages
• Understanding of Intel architecture
• Understanding of server platform design and architecture
• Experience with IPMI and BMC development

Responsibilities

• Build and own the server related firmware
• Work with a team of world-class software developers to create innovative solutions for data center infrastructure problems
• Develop, validate, and support firmware in diverse technology domains using proprietary and open source technologies
