Software Development Engineer III, Contribution and Item Pipelines

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a skilled software developer to join the Contribution and Item Pipelines team, responsible for developing services that process millions of items from merchants on the Amazon E-Commerce platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Developing services that process millions of items from merchants on the Amazon E-Commerce platform
• Managing billions of products in the catalog
• Developing large scale distributed systems that process hundreds of millions of changes to the catalog in real-time
• Translating high-level business goals to software platforms
• Working alongside top-notch software developers
