NPI Sr. Product Development Engineer, Robotics Delivery Strategy

Job Description

Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Product Development Engineer to join their team in the greater Boston area. The role involves deploying and servicing complex electromechanical workstations in a warehouse type environment, integrating customer requirements into new product designs, and driving technical root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, Mechanical, Systems, Robotics, Electrical, Manufacturing or suitable experience
• Proficient in 3D modeling software (ex: Solidworks)

Responsibilities

• Provide design for X guidance/feedback on electromechanical designs
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate complex systems
• Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies
• Evaluate and approve Design Engineering Changes Orders (DECOs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Implement best practices for engineering standards
• Analyze NPI failures to identify root cause and drive improvements
• Write White Papers (WP) and Design Scalability Papers (DSP)
• Take ownership of identifying and resolving issues
• Navigate projects with high ambiguity and provide guidance to partners
• Up to 30% travel required (domestic and international)
